With NAIF calling in the receivers at Kalium Lakes this project by AMN will really struggle now.
The capital requirements are sky high.
The processing that underpins the SOP recovery is very similar to the process plagued with problems at the NAIF backed, Kalium Lakes failure. Management has acknowledged the processing in the FEED comments but will NAIF and backers be happy moving forward without a pilot project. A potential loss at McKay could equal the combined losses at SO4 & KLL.
Perhaps they should think about using the WA1 windfall to build a decent sized pilot project?
