I just watched Andrew's presentation at Noosa - thanks for the link. I am a very long time holder of Aurelia Metals - it is one of my largest convictions.
However, I still find it all somewhat confusing. Aurelia still has many balls in the air BUT thankfully Andrew and to a lesser extent, Bryan, is the magician catching them and releasing them again in quick succession. If Andrew left on Monday, I would liquidate my entire holding five minutes after the advice.
- I'll start with the web site. The Investor and News dropdown boxes are duplicitous, messy and confusing compared to other companies' timely access to information.
- Andrew's presentation went from north to south then from south to north, back and forwards from Federation to Great Cobar. I did not see a sound, logical flow.
- Where are the exploration results!!!!!! and why was exploration not mentioned with conviction in the 12 minute presentation. He did skirt around the topic on a few slides but not with the conviction of previous releases. Is he throwing a bucket of cold water over expectations?
- Federation needs a ten year mine life to get investor's attention. Tens of millions should be being spent on drilling the entire area out.
- Presenters keep banging on about $100 million in the bank. Aurelia is not a bank. Up the exploration spend or return some money to shareholders. If the company is such a growth proposition, buying back shares at this low price should be a good outcome.
- If I wanted to invest in a bank, I'd buy shares in the Commonwealth or Macquarie Bank. Build the drive to Great Cobar, drill like mad, take a 19.99% stake in neighbour Peel Mining at it's current miserable price and get in before other suitors.
- What is the capital management policy of the company. It is not an explorer but a mature producer that has been mining for many many years. Is it ever going to return profits to shareholders, and if so, in what form?
If it seems I am confused and frustrated you have well understood my feelings. The fact the share price is bogged in a mire clearly supports the narrative that the company is not selling its message well at all.
