I agree, there is something odd re the timing of the announcements. The market didnt even know there was a revised offer until the board announced their unanimous backflip to accept.
Intially I thought it was just the submission of paperwork being tardy on one end, but here are the date and time stamps directly from the ASX announcements page for both NWE and MIN.
They are the same on the commsec ann page so it appears all automated as one owould expect. Generally I was under the impression A comes before B when reciting the alphabet in chronological order. Didnt know the 2 could have behind door discussions without informing the market of chages to prior statments made to the market..
very odd and although Im not a huge holder I have held for over 10 years my modest parcel is in the no action camp too. They can by mine on market when they dont get the 90% for compulsory aquisition and hopefully another drill or 2 under their belt.
The only blessing so far is since the orginal T/O offer....
