CE does not have the spare cash to offer cash for NWE - he needs the money for the $500M gas plant.
It may be that he wants to see NWE fully priced so he sells his 20% in NWE to someone else friendly, to raise cash...to pay for his gas plant.
if you dont sell your shares, they cant get them.
even if they hit 50% they will have to appoint independent directors and every key decision will need independent expert appointment.
they key thing for us here is to remain in the game until after the four drills and seismic are done. thats where the real money will come.
at that stage, i dont think anyone will have enough money to buy out NWE - if they want to consolidate, they woul dneed to merge into a like for like entity.
that would be the best outcome for us.
Im preparing separate thread/post to communicate this view in more detail.
