The first roll out of WP was just a beta test. Try out the digitial marketing, try out the product, try out the take up, assess the retention...I think it is incorrect to think of what transpired around July-November last year as anything more than that.

Take the learnings, re-engineer and roll out a new and improved product and strategy.

I recall from the early days the phrase "growth hacking" was used by NOR, which essentially amounts to short, sharp bursts of activity to garner customer feedback, and not spending 2 years to develop in-house a supposed "perfect" product (which even if I was perfect, would be outdated by the time of release). There has been much criticism of NOR for not releasing WP with free app-to-app and other features. Completely wrong in my view. They are going about it the right way, and to some extent both strategy and execution needs to be malleable in response to market feedback. Or "agile" to use the PM's favourite (current) word.
