Like you, I bought a small holding following MY. His stated reason for leaving the Board was "a conflict of interest". Hmmm.....sinking ship.....conflict.....stay on board and drown or swim for it!
But to respond to your posting. For some reason 5 million shares at $0.06 have been issued to an unnamed sophisticated investor on 8 January. Above market value.
On that day the SP gapped up from previous day close of 2.9 cents to close at 4.9 cents. A 69% leap! Coincidence.....NO!
All rather strange but the above does suggest something positive.....maybe. Positive for who?
