Whilst I agree that is very very wrong that Alex will be rewarded with 10's of millions for the SP to return to what it was, or even reaching NTA. I am not sure emails of the tone of yours above is the way to do it. I also see no benefit to anyone in your option #2, a wind up would only crystallise massive losses for shareholders. It would also be a massive fire sale if it could even be done with a lot of the stocks held in the portfolio.
I think the best thing is to push the point that the "Performance Fee" as it stands, is one of the worst, if not the worst of any fund. And that this is reflected in the discount to NTA and that Alex should ponder on the morality of such disrespect towards those whom have supported him as investors!
