I don't understand why people would complain about risk, yet at the same time invest in a coal mine development project, which (in my mind at least) is the epitome of risk! That's why funding is so hard to come by - a risky project in an unfashionable industry sector. FWIW I agree with the board - it's a bummer it had to turn out this way, but at least we'll get somewhere now. If Mr T goes rogue, well them's the breaks I guess.
