I agree it was a direct response to Au fed policy (or lack of it) and it was a response that was poorly executed. Plain and simple. A complete and utter cluster.
Legal action against the gov? No chance whatsoever. A gov has no legal obligation to pursue a particular policy agenda ever. It would be like the guys who expanded their insulation business massively based on the gov insulation batt incentive suing the govt because it ended and sent them broke.
