Agreed. It seems that we're paying $828,750 for Richard Hyde to just come to the office, and have to stump up the same again if we are to expect him to actually do his job. If he truly believes he's worth $1.7 million per year, he should be upfront and ask for it. But asking for an "above and beyond" incentive to produce results that are in line with business as usual makes it look like he doesn't think we'd approve it if he was open about it.
