Spot on….when the share price was 3c and nobody wanted to buy what I considered a very undervalued stock (note: I was one of the only buyers along with a Director for over 3months and entered the top 10) the Directors had 2 choices. Issue stock at a low price and dilute all shareholders including themselves, or take stock in lieu.
Harry Hindsight is a wonderful thing. They took a risk and it’s paid off. If other shareholders didn’t like it, they could have easily bought the stock up and forced the issue to Directors at a higher price.
But nobody did…..the Directors have a windfall…and you can’t whinge about it now.
Funny how people can complain about Directors not being aligned with shareholders and having skin in the game one day…..then criticise them for the same thing the next.
