I had similar thoughts about the directors buying on market and a short scan of ann's shows Hamish had bought a lot, from memory in June. The others had some initial directors notices recently too.
I think they've done ok there and I don't expect them to keep dipping into their pockets.
Similarly we don't have to give them free ones, either reduce the amount or set the bar higher for performance shares.
I think what they are asking for is fair if they don't want anything else for the next 5 years other than 'normal' pay rises. But that's unlikely to be the case.
