Then we are all thanking the directors as we scramble to get as many discounted shares as we can and wishing we had stocked up earlier at 50c when we had the chance.

Obviously funds are required to get Wilcherry Hill up and running and this may come from debt or equity or a combination of the two.

I expect when negotiating debt finance having the option to go down the equity path without going to another general meeting would be beneficial to the negotiations and/or prevent any unnecessary delays to the commencement of the project.
It makes complete sense to me for the directors to have this resolution in the AGM and it provides a sense of confidence that the Wilcherry Hill project will proceed in the near term.
