A paper loss? It’s a bizarre comparison to make… because his average price would be somewhere around 10c (at a very rough guess).
But it seems to me that his intention is to see a return from future dividends. I doubt he cares too much if it is worth 50c or $5 in the meantime (especially because the funding plans don’t rely on going to market to raise capital).
