I agree. His stance on not taking a salary is in stark contrast with the other members of the board. At the previous AGM somebody pointed out that the board salaries were excessive considering the size and stature of the company. We were assured that the board would review their own remuneration before the next AGM. I hope this issue is followed up on. Seemed like a hollow promise at the time.
As an aside, does anybody know what function Gregor Aschoff serves as an 'executive' board member? Specifically, his ongoing role beyond that of a director. What are his day to day responsibilities and what successful projects has he been involved in? If his role is primarily strategic in nature, I'd expect that to fall within his duties as a normal board member. How is his executive salary justified considering recent staff redundancies? I hope this is questioned at the AGM.
