Reason it was introduced is because last AGM 25% of voting rights voted against the remuneration report. If this occurs again at the upcoming AGM, as per the Corporations Act another vote should be taken for a spill motion, in which there is a spill if >50% of voting power vote in favour of it. So if 25% of voting power voting against the remuneration report is a smoke signal for you then fair enough. Share price performance hasn't been great but our directors aren't on exorbitant wages so I don't see the reason to vote against their salaries personally.
