I really hope they manage to pull together an equity funding deal with one of their commercial/development partners. The benefits of this would be:

1. A significant shareholder rather than lots of smaller shareholders who are often controlled by their broker
2. Provides credibility that the concept and science so far is valid
3. Aligns the two parties better to achieve success
4. The shareholder would be long term with no reason to sell so as to maintain good will between the development partners

The sad alternative would be a typical ASX churn broker, who does a share placement at a significant discount to market prices and then dumps the lot for a 15% return on any good news and tries to continue rinse and repeating this tactic.
