The big boys "won't have to pay for them until they make a profit"?
That is one way to look at it. Another, of course, is that they are in fact big boys. Probably will not be happy with a couple of freebees and will buy more. They will do whatever they think is necessary to make money.
And, at the end of the day, how can that be bad for us holders? How can more money in the company be treating us with contempt?
It only takes a snowflake in the right place to start an avalanche....
