"someone who had 1,000,000 shares bought at 0.001" would be worth $1000
post consolidation you'd have 50:1 --> 20000 shares @ $0.05 = $1000
the problem lies with SP and market value post consolidation .... in some cases the value is reduced and the shares drop shortly after consolidation say i.e. 5 cents down to 3.5 cents now your holding is worth 20000 X $0035 = $700
this is why a consolidation is not always welcomed ....
