From my perspective as a recent minnow retail holder who is well ahead on what I paid (unlike those who paid A$4.10 at the float years ago), I consider Mr John King as MD/CEO is doing an excellent job.

I'd like others' feedback on voting against item 4 - adoption of the remuneration report - as if 25 per cent of more of votes are cast against it and MYR receives a "second strike", the conditional spill resolution (item 6) will then be put to the AGM attendees/voters.

I'd therefore also like feedback on voting in favour of that (conditional) item 6.

While an extraordinary meeting to be held within 90 days of the AGM comes at a cost to MYR, it would give what many suggest is Australia's best retailer, Mr Solomon Lew, an opportunity to seek shareholder support.

Irrespective as to whether one likes or dislikes Mr Lew, he has done spectacularly well with PMV et al and so has a demonstrable great retailing record. Could he weave further magic with MYR over time?

I stress that Mr King doesn't appear to deserve criticism. I don't know whether Mr Lew, if he became Chairman or a key Director would want to retain Mr King, or somehow coax Mr Mark McInnes back into retailing and hence make Mr King redundant.
