I think @dunjo had raise a good point here. Is this US$50m a one go raise or an accumulative raise during the 4 years? Given the 10% +5% provisions for additional equity in the special resolutions each year, the US$50m can easily hit within 3 years and I think this should be clarified.
What I am comfortable with is now that we have a detachment of Chairman and CEO functions and the CEO is incentivize with the blessing of the board and in turn the shareholders. Richard Irving has his 36m interest to safeguard and by incentivizing Tom in such a generous way, there must be a very good reason in the background. It only makes sense if for him, for every dollar given to incentives, there must be more times than that amount in return to him and all shareholders.
And regarding his reduced compensation, he has my respect too.
At this stage, I just smelled something, but don’t know what it is.
