Put it another way. It’s taken me two and a half years of scrimping and saving to get to over 1 mill shares in this company. I’m down about 15% of my total investment. If the company fails, or does another CR, I’ll be down a lot more.
Meanwhile, an employee who is living off my investment gets a discounted opportunity to profit if the company goes well, or risk nothing if the company goes belly up.
