You may pay to ask yourself why did Zijin place this announcement on their own website and why the DRC Govt. under Presidental instruction hasn't released a similar announcement? It's because Zijin isn't accountable to anyone, at least at this time. Who and what process are they trying to influence?
I hope Zijin is running a publicity campaign in the DRC about this announcement. They will be on a pathway to doom.
When the ICC cases are sorted and the President is endorsed by his people in the upcoming elections WATCH for what announcements he makes. Zijin will come under intense scrutiny and May end up having all current Mining permits in the DRC withdrawn and their people being expelled from the region. The people of the DRC will rejoice and the President and his new Ministry will have the overwhelming mandate to take their country forward on a new direction to growth and prosperity.
Be aware that day is fast approaching to make Zijin and their supporters accountable for bringing the DRC Mining code into international dispute and working against the cultural, heritage and financial interests of the people.
