These are good questions, imo. It sure doesn't smell too good and is seemingly out of character for a company that has played with a pretty straight bat up until this time.
And if, say, you were a 'large investor' who knows that this kind of raise is potentially available to you at such low prices, how easy would it be to assist in marching the share price down towards the target on a company with a relatively modest free float?
I'm guessing not too difficult at all.
The waters feel very muddy at the moment and I get the distinct feeling there are predators under the surface.
