You know it costs roughly $30-$40mil per year in R&D alone right? Given Imugene doesn't really generate income yet, dipping into cash reserves alone for an acquisition of that size would've have been a financial disaster. The entire pharma market was sitting heavily in in the red at the time, and the fact shareholders were able to sum up sufficient financing via CR to purchase an aligned company, is incredible.
