I have asked for information regarding the post school qualifications of Stefanie Winwood. As someone who has had sometimes direct and commonly at least tangential roles involving the public face of entities, I was underwhelmed at the whole face of Bluglass, but since the recent seriously negative announcement regarding the failure to achieve the project funding that had been sought that was presented in what I considered to be a disproportionately disadvantageous manner to the company and particularly its shareholders, I am now very worried.
I am keenly aware that companies full of technicians that are trying to move to the next level of operation might undervalue the benefit of PR, but what Bluglass needs here is thinking that is as at least as innovative as their own products. They don’t have that. Presence at an IP conference is simply a good will gesture. I know who attends these conferences and the benefit to the company are negligible. That time would have been better spent on PR strategy, at least overhauling the Bluglass website into a more dynamic face, with a link on the home page to any paper whatsoever that shouts out the stuff of Bluglass (and I’m sure I’ve been out of things long enough that someone new could easily come up with far more contemporary ideas).
I dislike needing to name names of company personnel, but in a business sense this urgently needs to be addressed.
