    Personally I don't understand the focus on FDA approval as some kind of catalyst for the company.

    Yes, when it comes through it'll allow them to stay in the US market. But that's only a good thing if it's worthwhile and profitable market to be in.

    The market remains a difficult and expensive one to crack into due to the monopoly of the major local producers. BUB had a lot of help from the US Government to enter initially with tariff waivers, free air freight, free publicity etc. But all that has ended now.

    Some other major multinational companies who had the initial temporary approval actually chose not to pursue the permanent access - for this very reason i.e. it is not a particularly lucrative market and would be a drain on margins.

    That's why I argue they've been led a bit astray by the US opportunity (theyve already sunk alot of capital into it - the entire recent capital raise). Instead they should refocus back on China e-commerce.
