Is anyone else going to be voting against the remuneration report? I personally think that the incentive payments are a bit too hefty for me to support. Also our technology essentially has a barbell future: either the tech will clear all hurdles and we'll all make boatloads of money, or it won't and we'll do very badly.
I fail to see why we should have a remuneration structure that forks out over a million bucks extra (i.e., above market remuneration) simply because we end up on the good side of the barbell distribution.
MG has plenty of shares, which should provide ample incentive to do the right thing by shareholders, there is a market rate that someone like him can command, and according to the remuneration report, his base pay is supposed to be at that market rate.
