yes I know but giving it to the future full/part owner, developer and operator of the mine will strengthen a guarantee concentrate supply agreement to LPD to feed their Stage 1 or 2 Chem Plant
the alternative business strategy is selling the license to a global miner and building localised chem plants like Cornish Lithium are doing (standardised qualification of lithium may be difficult as well as control of sensitive bi products)
Tech for Karibib vs Cornish Lithium is oddly very different
Karibib is the concentrator while Cornish Lithium is both concentrator and chem plant (a mini Stage 1) if I’m not mistaken
Perhaps LPD need Karibib to be majority owned by a Namibian company as the Namibian government want a Cornish Lithium style chem plant if foreign LPD want majority ownership in Karibib
