The Tiger deal is $1m AUD for an OPTION on the Colombian Assets. How on earth do you think this is a better deal?!
Are you drinking the Tiger Kool Aid? They clearly do not have any money to structure a deal this way. The next payment is 8 months later.
A LOT can happen in 8 months in this volatile environment to affect their fundraising especially in Colombia! For example, tariff wars, another election with an anti-business leftist President in Colombia (which is looking likely, again), Moody's is expected to downgrade Colombia to junk imminently, and they're about to lose their funding from government agencies worldwide. It's a horrible future fundraising environment for the country.
You think Visby is just making noise, you think they would just make offers passing in the wind and via Press Release and not deliver and its potential legal ramifications?! I would much rather take the sure thing of AUD $7.5m cash upfront for a guaranteed sale and the AUD $15m comp from Visby. In the Tiger deal, sure you get their AUD $1m initially then what happens .... by voting yes to that deal you are basically betting on Tiger to raise the money they dont have. Visby is the sure thing, they have the money and the expertise to deliver and advance on this project.
