    They had another crack at drilling it in 2006 too with the Primero-1 well. It was a very expensive failure.

    Then one of the JV partners apparently ended up in the hands of a guy who had about 20 different companies including one that was trying to flog an anti-gravity spaceship. You couldn't make it up.

    Eventually I think TEG took them to court for non-compliance and that's how State Gas ended up with the whole block. But I'd stopped paying much attention to it by then so maybe someone knows more about that part than me.
