For those above noting BB’s sales, while they were ultimately better than not selling, fairly impeccably timed, and we all wish we’d followed suit, broadly my (now a little dated) calculations (with heavy assumptions) suggested he hasn’t necessarily make off into the sunset from those sales so much as effectively landed free carried with a very sizeable chunk still sitting in FFX and LLL (circa $500k profit realised on $10m+ in shares noting that accounting for opportunity cost on invested capital he’s effectively lost money until he realises some value from his FFX/LLL holdings). In his shoes with $10m still unrealised in the biggest investment in his life I’d still be very motivated to secure a return.
