Simon explained the suspension of DSO, Government free carry, and overall status of the progress of the project. The announcement also states that the directive received does not delay any aspect of the project. So why would you sell on this information.
It appears to me that the BOD didn't have all the information at hand or weren't able to make sound decisions on the information they had. So why would they resume trading? They were operating blindly.
What makes Simon the glue that holds this deal together? The deal is done. We just need someone to administer what has been agreed. If Simon doesn't get his golden handshake and leaves, it probably indicates something about who he is and the regard he has for shareholders and GF.
It also wouldn't look good on his resume. Maybe he might have a cry on linkedin like MA.
Im all for the deal, no for the bonuses.
At the end of the day, if you think they deserve extra cash, vote, yes. You could also give them a tip of what you recover from your investment.
