Hi Jim, can you see any sense in what the Venus board is doing here? Almost seems that they are having a flutter on EMT much like I am with Venus. They have some very prospective ground running south from Youanme down to the south of Penny West. I would much prefer if they focused any spare cash and effort on checking out that area.

When I first started reading the VMC threads someone on hc commented that they thought that this bunch of directors are fairly much "lifestyle" directors, and are happy pottering around having a punt now and then and collecting their fees. At the time I thought that sounded a bit harsh but since then I have been looking out for signs that there might be something to that assessment.

Two of the four directors are executives ie they are on the payroll which seems a luxury for what Venus is, especially as Venus also has an exploration consultant on their books. And this buying of EMT shares strikes me as somewhat off-point.

Also, three of the four directors, including the 2 executive directors, are ex-United Minerals Corporation as is the company secretary. Not much independence . There also seems more of a background in iron ore than in gold. Hopefully Rox's Alex Passmore keeps them focused. Anyway I have not formed a solid view either way. Spectacular assay results at Penny West Deep South will no doubt turn them all into heroes. (I follow both RXL and VMC but think VMC is better leveraged to any success at Penny West Deep South).
