The market sets the price.
MLX will give an indication of what the assets in each share cost to "build/ develop/acquire" via the CGT cost base that will apply for each share.
Why kick yourself? If management are to be believed and I think they have a legitimate argument the sum of the parts is worth way more then the current Sp. I bought some in the Spp and i merely see them as undervalued by the market. Further I welcome the "look trough" with the two parts.
Do you think the fund manages who bought $90 m or so at $1.48 were completley wrong and deceived?
In the worst case MLX selling them at $1.48 and 'trousering' the cash did a good job or bolstering their balance sheet.
So we get to the operative part. it's only those who were in it for the very short term how have an issue.
