I should add that Terry Samuel would have paid a option value that reflected the current price as the options were in the money plus a little bit extra for the time value of these options. By converting now , he loses some value unless something changes from now to option date ?
I note also his performance if the fund is very strong over the medium to long term and he is a conviction investor with a 20-25 holdings in his fund
