"a CEO on a comfy wage" if only we had one. The average wage in Australia is $85,000 which is apparently more than enough for a comfortable life. Interesting that you also mention Warren Buffet and I would be keen to hear his views on highly paid executives given he runs a company with a market cap over US$550Bn and draws a salary himself of US$100,000 which has not increased for decades. I don't need to point out Berkshire Hathaway's amazing growth over the years and you can see there appears to be no correlation between continually increasing executive payouts and shareholder returns (well at least as far as Admedus is concerned). Where are the results? It strikes me that the wholesale sell off of the company's assets is something that Korda Mentha and co specialise in - and their fees are not ongoing.
