Agree totally.
This shareholder vote could have been avoided if the ASX and IMU had given themselves a few days to issue shares, on the expectation that an approval received on the 30th would not have allowed enough time to issue the shares on the same day. Rather incredible this wasn't considered at the time.
In any case, a lesson learned here I would think.
Also, on a personal note, the excuse given of "a convergence of varying time zones" is a very poor one. Certainly not one my boss would accept. And I should know, I've tried
