I agree with you there. No fair minded shareholder would begrudge that. If there is opportunity for upside then transparency and shared benefit is a worthy goal. It would pass the pub test.
Let’s remember that it is the CEO+Chair who are responsible for filtering good deals from the bad deals. Regardless of who shareholders might be, the Chair must be the gatekeeper and communicate clearly with all shareholders.
Seems that this proposal loses sight of some of the basics for an ASX listed business.
