I just see it as them improving their appeal for some kind of Government buy-in by adressing the various environmental concerns they believe will be a problem worth investment. Tyre disposal is a pretty big concern isn't it? and it seems the Aust Govt need a solution. Their management aren't schmucks so at least it will be driven along from their side rather than us having to take on more tasks alone.
