Well, seems you're a "glass half full" type then. Best of luck because on the face of it, you're going to need it.
This already WAS a high-risk investment, now it's an ULTRA high-risk investment.
Just a couple of other points:
1. "Jen was expensive" ... errr... even PH was pretty positive about her contribution to the growth of the business during her time. Anyone looking at her confidence, her grasp of the technology and the industry, as displayed in the marketing presentations would also have been impressed.
Also, I think we can safely assume she didn't set her own salary - this would have been approved by the BoD !!
2. I really do get peeved when I hear people saying "don't get emotional" about business, investments and "general" decision making. People aren't robots and they make decisions on the basis of facts, data, etc I agree but, emotion is an important part of that equation. One can't separate that out no matter how hard one tries to deny/ignore it... its because we're ummm.... human !
How many thousands of books have been written on motivation, teamwork. Look at all the case studies on people succeeding "against all the odds".
Biotech is a clear example of (many) people investing "emotionally"... just read the threads.
Not really having a go at you ... I wish you well in your investing, as with all holders.
