I'll save you the time & tell you straight up, No it's NOT "money well spent"
Share holders should demand Tim's salary be slashed 50% until binding agreements are made, mining licence approved & favourable FID is made and the share price hits $1.00.
This should be no problem for Tim, hes more than happy to live large off struggling shareholders who are watching the company disintegrate & arent privy to the information he currently is!
You can be assured, if Tim was to fund this out of his own personal finances, a NOT VIABLE DECISION would be announced tomorrow. But, you know, when it's not your money, this changes everything, especially when your sucking $500k/yr directly into your personal bank account, all of a sudden it's a bloody great idea to build a pipeline and pump seawater hundreds of kilometres lol.
Aside from showing good ethics, if nothing else this would be a nod of confidence to shareholders.
