They wouldn't want to waste any of their hard-earned (joke) money on travelling to the east coast for the meeting, where they would more than likely be confronted by some very unhappy SH's. Better to stay in their own little WA bubble, and pretend everything is alright, with very few souls at what I can only imagine is a pointless meeting.
