The WA junior miner, Gold Road Resources, says many small and mid-tier resources companies will continue to fall by the wayside during the current global economic uncertainty.

Yesterday, Austrasia International Mining Limited withdrew plans to list on the stock exchange due to adverse conditions on financial and capital markets.

Gold Road's executive chairman, Ian Murray, maintains his company already has enough capital to fund its mining endeavours in the Goldfields and Pilbara.

But, he says other smaller resources companies will struggle to survive in the current market.

"I think is a big concern amongst the junior and listed companies," he said.

"Junior companies that need the cash to keep going are currently battling to find interest from investors."
