Just to clarify, even though the NASDAQ Capital Market tier is the third tier, it is the correct tier for GMV. The Capital Market tier is for young companies that need capital to expand, hence the name Capital Markets. GMV fits this description perfectly. I'm guessing that investors who are looking for startups with strong growth potential will target companies in this tier. I think that the different tiers are so that investors can quickly find the type of company they want to invest in. Also, over time, companies can change from tier to tier.
Also, I made a small typo. A listing price of $2 US = 15.5 cents AU at current share prices, which is almost exactly 4 times the current share price (not 3).
