Two articles in AFR today. Very different headlines, but when reading the articles it seems that people said they would pay off debt with the tax refunds (and some data suggests borrowers are paying off home loans quicker and paid off some credit card debt). But CBA spending data shows that retail sales have already picked up. RBA view seems to be that some have paid down credit cards ... and will spend as the year goes on. Should be good news for AX1 FYTD update at AGM.
