    My question is after coutnless lies and dishonesty RE the situation, what possible reason do you have to believe that they are "close to a deal"?

    They cant really come out and say "we've been faffing around for 12 months and milking this thing, no deal in sight", can they. Just because they say a deal is close, doesn't make it true (as evidenced by countless lies over the years)
