There comes a point when finding additional resources becomes somewhat irrelevant, as it might be year 20 or 25 that you actually get round to mining and shipping that resource. When you discount back that far away production, it's almost meaningless in current dollar terms.

I'm not saying you don't keep increasing your resource, but you have to progressively spend more of your dollars on the studies, and capital requirements to actually get into production.
