I think Nosy Parker you've missed the point.

The people who are now running the show will have the most shares and options. Which effectively means they will profit the most if they are successful.

That's how the rich get richer.

You don't want people who do not have a sizeable vested interest running the company.

How do you think Twiggy Forrest made all his money.

By being the smallest shareholder.

I don't think so.

The smart people are buying knowing that these guys make money. They have a proven track record.
Just like the smart people that were buying fortescue at 20c.
