The 'real' positive would have been to be able to get your 'partners' to put up their part of the bargain (especially when they're a well recognized large brand). to not be able to achieve this outcome - there are no other positives at this stage, just back peddling and trying to make the best out of a very poor, self-inflicted situation.
most companies would fire people who exhibit this level of mismanagement, lucky it's the guys at the top of the tree... so unlikely to fire themselves.
